What Your Sign is Ready to Get Real About in November

Authored by Bess Matassa

Sharpen your kitchen knives and get ready to slice and dice the prime cuts, astro babes. After last month’s mirrorball encounter with our true relationship needs, November finds us powered up with whole hearts in hands — prepared to meet whatever meat crosses our paths. And whether we “think” we’re ready or not, here it comes.

With Mercury, Mars, and Neptune all stationing direct, and the Sun and Venus in glow-in-the-dark Scorpio, it’s a month made for shining the light under the bed and into the back of the closet. Scorpio is the serpentine sign where we shed the belief that our little old selves could or should move every mountain — forging a commitment to release our muscles, bare our bareness, and “get moved” instead.

Far from an exercise in powerlessness, this strong and steady submission actually opens us to the increased potency of partnering with life itself. Consider what it feels like to ride white water rapids or surf a wave. Or the way a wind turbine catches a potent current. When we release into the intensity instead of resisting, we find the seat of our unshakable life force—our rallying cry that says we’re still here and we’re still alive.

So step into the feral fray and harness the elements like the animal you are. Blunt and beautifully beastly, November is your chance to get down and deliciously dirty — utterly naked with life and ready for more, more, more.

Read on for your sign’s fierce fact-facing foray for November, and turn what you might want to turn away from into pure magic …

SCORPIO OR SCORPIO RISING

October was your rock-solid month of lasting legacies and crown jewels, Scorpio. And now, in the full fluorescence of your birthday flair, you’re ready for an even more stately state of affairs. This continued dominion over your life asks you to consciously create more space, both internally and externally. Start with your well-worn security blankets, looking at anything that you reach for instinctively but which also feels slightly stifling or suffocating. Like an invigorating alpine breeze, November wants to clear your system of staleness.

Get Real About: Your Comfort Zones. Strip off the floppy slippers and slide into some more dangerously spiky boots — emboldened by the belief that nothing in life can remain static.

SAGITTARIUS OR SAGITTARIUS RISING

October asked you to reorder your world with less resistance, Sag, mixing up a proprietary balanced blend. Now, November’s energies invite you to take a long, hard look at anywhere you’re believing that hypervigilance is the key to happiness. While there’s nothing inherently “wrong’’ about self-protective impulses, pay attention to where they’re motivated by the fear that you’ve got to clutch hard not to lose it all. Swap walls for bridges—meeting life with bouquets instead of battle axes.

Get Real About: Your Defenses. Let whatever you’re guarding reveals what you value, what you fear, and the bits that don’t have to be imprisoned to be protected.

CAPRICORN OR CAPRICORN RISING

October was your slow jam month for settling into a regally unrushed rhythm, Cappy. November’s Astro energy quickens the pace, though the “rush” isn’t an anxious scrambling but a more renegade-style readiness for an about-face. Consider anything that seems to be getting cleared or revised in your world right now. Does this provoke fear? Exhilaration? Grief? Whatever the emotion ocean, trust that this sweeping motion is meant to liberate the new life force that lies beneath.

Get Real About: Your Ego. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with your big, beautiful “I,” also consider all that can blossom in the moments when you don’t have to prop up your personhood.

AQUARIUS OR AQUARIUS RISING

October was an opportunity to interrogate your hard lines and never-evers, Aquarius, remaining buoyant and breathable. Now, with November’s energy turning you back down and in, you’re called into powerful communion with a newly emblazoned sense of intuitive navigation. Start by feeling into your own innate rhythms, like an animal on the crest of a seasonal change. And when hibernation is called for, shut the door and commit to the cave without equivocating.

Get Real About: The Need to Explain. You’re generally one of the zodiac’s cleanest and clearest operators, and this month asks you to release any need to apologize, to yourself or others, when you make a bold move.

PISCES OR PISCES RISING

October was your chance to face survivalist fears, as you catapulted yourself into the arms of always-enoughness. November’s energies find you ready to build a brave new world from this bolstered belief in your own worthiness. Start by letting yourself be treasured — whether it’s a friendship where you can fully glow or a skill that buffs you to high-gloss confidence. Reach out to relish whatever sends solid gold self-worth stars your way, and forget the rest of the sky for a while.

Get Real About: Your Purpose. You came here to the planet for a reason, and while you don’t have to “figure it all out,” commit to at least starting to ask some big “whys.”

ARIES OR ARIES RISING

Your evolutionary invites over the past few months have been extreme, Aries, as you’ve faced up to endings and changes with a warriorship befitting your status as the first zodiac sign. November offers some shelter after all these storms — beckoning you to become simply “unavailable” for certain thoughts, behaviors, and people. Stage a solo elopement and fortify your fortress to refind your center, fierce one — checking out of any noxious nonsense to check in with your heartbeat alone.

Get Real About: Building Boundaries. Whether it’s how you use your time, whom you choose to show up for, or the storylines that swirl in your own brain, draw your energy back in by drawing the line.

TAURUS OR TAURUS RISING

You’ve been on a journey to “grow down,” Taurus, harnessing the bubble and fizz that believes in true blue beginnings. In November, the sprout starts to continue, and you’re asked to hit the refresh button on your relationships. Whether it’s lovers, colleagues, friends, or fam, remember that you and others are really “in it” together — even when it seems like someone isn’t “giving” you what you need. You signed up to incarnate alongside these other souls, and your shared work is even more vital when it asks you to evolve.

Get Real About: Assigning Blame. Take November to draw your responsibility back to center, finding boldness in the belief that there’s life beyond the binary of victim and culprit.

GEMINI OR GEMINI RISING

October was your month for rubbing up against life, Gemini — building heat through a little frictional fun. November asks you to use this skill as a springboard, as you rise to meet each micro-moment of magical change. You’re beginning to relate more deeply to your intuition, and this starts with itty bitty daily decisions. Do you really desire that cup of coffee? Is it a night to go out or stay in? These quotidian commitments are the rock-solid layers that form unshakable self-trust.

Get Real About: What’s in Alignment. Commit to the credo that you already know what is and is not for you, ditching any drama and just moving towards and away accordingly.

CANCER OR CANCER RISING

October offered you schooling in sensation, Cancer, as you learned to master multiple waves in the emotion ocean. In November, that wide-ranging capacity is your entrée into a newfound enthusiasm about life, as you open wide to omnivorously lap up your world. Pretend that you’re a Pac-Man or a vast banquet hall, and dilate to experiences without hesitation. “Engulf and devour” is your motto this month. Drink it down and gobble it up.

Get Real About: Your Happiness. While joyousness is just one note on an emo piano filled with equally valid feeling tones, remember that you have the right to play it — getting out of your own way when contentment comes calling.

LEO OR LEO RISING

October was a fact-checking month to interrupt doom and gloom spin-outs for the real weather report. And now November finds you ready to flex from the full-bodied belief in your “sense” of things. Like a tenant who lives in the guest house, let this month be your permission slip to come and go as you please. Whether it’s ghosting, sudden about-faces, or wild leaps, you have the right to follow any and all raw animal instincts like the little fur baby you are.

Get Real About: Approval Ratings. While you’re here to see and be seen in full solar glow mode, you can also leave space for the nocturnal plants who may not crave your rays.

VIRGO OR VIRGO RISING

October was a snip and clip month for excising any nonsense tales about “never-good-enough.” And this month wants you opening your lips lustrously for the “something better.” Become a huntress of the mediocre, stalking the stale grey-colored matter that is just “meh.” While you know how to make magic out of each and every crumble, you don’t need to effort your alchemy in this way right now. Release from anything that needs more work than it’s worth.

Get Real About: What’s Already Dead. Quit the Frankenstein antics and stop propping up anything that’s long past — choosing to commune with only beating hearts and warm bodies.

LIBRA OR LIBRA RISING

October was a call to face up to any “absences” in your world — taking time to mourn whatever was morphing. And now November activates that self-tending mechanism in every moment, as you’re asked to make things easier for your sweet self. Far from an act of denial or turning “away,” this is actually a turning “towards,” as you check it at every moment about what lies beneath your moves. Commit to leaving the intricate bells and whistles behind in service of the plain, precious heart of the matter.

Get Real About: The Simple Truth. Ditch the labyrinths and layered explanations and just tell it like it is — letting utter simplicity shock you towards newfound strength.
