Once upon a time, the moment we saw a single gray or white hair, it had us reaching for some box dye, stat. Now, there’s a movement for letting hair color live its natural course. Perhaps it’s the starring ladies of And Just Like That that have inspired us to embrace grays, or maybe you’re just over the cost, time, and energy it requires to keep up with regular dye jobs, but going gray has never been more stylish. If you’re still looking for motivation to make the plunge, look no further than these chic ladies who will fill your feed with their silver, white, and gray hair inspo.

Pharmacist Jin Cruce, 54, stopped dyeing her hair in 2018 and never looked back. “It has given me so much freedom and confidence. I was inspired and encouraged by all the ‘silver sisters’ on Instagram, and I hope to inspire anyone going through their journey to gray hair,” she said in her first post on her Instagram that chronicles her beauty, fitness, and style. She describes her hair as coarse, thick, wavy, and ultimately “pretty cool.” What can we say? We totally agree.
@sarahharris
British Vogue’s Deputy Editor and Fashion Features Director started to go gray when she was just 16 years old — just a few years shy of when her mother started getting gray hairs. Ironically — probably because of her youthful age — many people assume Sarah actually dyes her hair to get it to the color she currently has. She’s long been a proponent of being proud of her hair color, and previously, she partnered with Redken, world-leading colorist Josh Wood, and celebrity stylist Guido on a campaign about celebrating all shades of gray.
@graceghanem
Montreal-based personal trainer Grece Ghanem, 56, isn’t afraid to go bold. In fact, she’s reframing the narrative that you need to retire the idea that you’re sexy after you reach a certain age. Ghanem posts her beauty and fitness looks to her feed — and like many influencers, they are sponsored by brands, but somehow she makes them all feel authentic. Her clothes and beauty looks are provocative, yet sophisticated and modern so that people of any age would want to imitate her style.

Nikol Johnson Sanchez, 47, is a makeup artist, former model, and founder of her namesake makeup line, Nikol Cosmetics. Though she’s made many shifts throughout her beauty career, one thing’s always remained consistent: She loves helping women feel good in their own skin. “Basically, my thoughts on what anyone says about my choice of lip color, hair color, how you wear your eyebrows, etc. [is to] express yourself and don’t let anyone take your unique look and vibe from you,” she said in a post.
@naturally_graysful
The 40-year-old mom started her Instagram in 2018 to encourage other prematurely gray women — particularly women of color — to embrace their grays. After much trial and error, from boxed dye jobs to root touch-up sprays to semi-permanent rinses, she was tired of being controlled by her gray hair growth and wanted to decrease the exposure to toxic ingredients on her scalp.
@lindaandwinks
Former stylist Linda Rodin, 74, is basically the definition of “lit-from-within glow” — whether that’s in reference to her glowy skin (she’s the creator of the cult classic Rodin Olio Lusso face oil) or her silvery hair. She’s never felt the need to dye it and doesn’t associate gray hair with aging, but she feels it’s just a part of who she is.
@DianGriesel
Dian Griesel, 60, started modeling at 57 for prestigious beauty brands like L’Oréal and Estée Lauder. She’s a trained nutritionist (which is evidenced by her amazing physique), has written several books, and runs the blog Silver Disobedience, where you can find interviews and stories about ageless living.
