Though we would all love to have a crystal ball that reveals our future, most of us have to have patience as our life unfolds. Particularly now, as the world feels as if it’s shifting dramatically on its axis, and we all have to adjust to constant change. There’s no easy way around it: 2020 and 2021 were immensely stressful. We all navigated a global pandemic, political uproar, increased evidence of climate change, and for many, financial hardship. It’s normal to wonder (and hope!) that 2022 will bring happier, easier days. While there is no surefire way to know exactly what will happen, we spoke with psychics, clairvoyants, reiki healers and astrologers who used their innate talents to make predictions for the year ahead. Here, they share their intuitions:
Old systems of power will continue to be dismantled. 
Since November 2020, the nation has experienced a change in power from the red to blue, as President Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in the presidential election. We have also witnessed — and been part of — the fight for racial equality with the continuous Black Lives Matter movement. According to Ellen Bowles, an astrologer, tarot reader and ancestral healer, all of these antiquated systems of power will continue to be challenged in 2022 and beyond. As she explains, Pluto is in Capricorn until 2024, and that’s a powerful alignment. “Pluto is our planet of shadow work, death and rebirth. Capricorn is our sign of structure, karma, corporations, and traditional business systems,” she continues. “Over the next few years, we will continue to see our outdated political systems be exposed and the reorganization of power.”
Also, with the strong influence of Uranus energy in 2022, the world will have a more humanitarian stance, and power will be distributed horizontally rather than reserved for the chosen few, she adds.
We will be challenged to trust more.
Considering nearly all parts of our lives feel uncertain these days, having faith can be a tricky belief to come by. However, in 2022, it’ll be essential. On a collective conscious and global scale, next year’s theme is trust, says Jeannette von Johnsbach, a leading energy healer at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. “The waters run deep, emotions run high, and we are in a time that requires faith and trust in life and humanity. Fear has replaced our ability to see clearly.”
In 2022, she says it will become apparent that the only way forward is through trust, confidence in life, and our ability to take the following steps with conviction.
The financial world will see unprecedented change.
According to Bowles, because the planet Uranus will be in Taurus until 2025, there will be experimentation and revolution when it comes to finances and material matters. “With Uranus ruling technology, expect big advancements when it comes to digital forms of currency,” she says. “In a post-pandemic world, we will continue to see technology replace physical exchange of goods. The financial market will experience unexpected changes and unpredictability.”
Pluto’s return will challenge us to create balance.
Much like you have an astrological sign, so do countries, marriages, and jobs. And based on the natal chart for the United States (born July 4, 1776), 2022 marks the beginning of the country’s Pluto Return, explains astrologer Kelsey Kennedy. “This return will last for about two years, with the possibility of effects being felt through 2028. Since this return only happens every 247-odd years, the effects are powerful and transformative, not only for the collective but also the self,” she explains.
Pluto is the planet that represents death and rebirth, and though that sounds a little scary, what it really means is change will continue. After all, you have to let go of the past to create the future. “Starting next year, we will have to have to take an even deeper look at what needs to shift to create everlasting and positive change,” she says.
On a personal level, we will all feel Pluto Return in different ways, depending on our unique charts. At the start of 2022, Kennedy says there will be a lot of transformative and forward-moving energy. “Fire and Earth signs are going to see it more in their finances and career, while Air and Water signs will feel it more in their personal lives, family, and community,” she continues. “After this past year of stop and go, allow yourself to ride this wave of uplevelling. But by the second half of 2022, see how you can balance it out with rest and relaxation to avoid burnout.”
People are going to take back their power.
One of the most challenging (and ongoing) parts of the pandemic is how little control we have over guidelines, cases, and mandates. One day, vaccination rates are positive and promising, and the next, it all seems as if it spirals. In 2022, we will all start to gain our power back and write our own narrative again, predicts Nicole Rosé, the founder of the Queens of Creation mentorship program, Big Queen Energy podcast host, and mindset mentor.
“People will take full responsibility for their lives, leading to a more empowered population. You can’t own your power without owning the fact that you create everything that manifests in your life,” she continues. “Our world will be a better place with more personally empowered, self-aware individuals in it.”
2022 will be a year of mass ascension. 
Reiki healer and owner of MajaEden Wellness, Meah Starr Kadziela, says 2022 will be a biggie, as we will all be urged to reach higher levels. She predicts there’s a possibility for strong female leadership in the United States, as well as a prophet that could help to unite us all.
“This prophet will be unlike any other prophet that has been seen in history and in modern times. Seemingly coming from nowhere, they will deliver miracles upon the masses,” she continues. “This prophet will deliver messages of love, hope, healing like never before seen, and will be a direct driving force to complete uniting millions upon millions of people across the globe.”
Since hope will feel renewed, she also says there will be a major decline in those who report and identify anxiety as something they struggle with. “Peace will be restored, and trust and the belief that we are truly all one, rising to the next level of human greatness,” she adds. “2022 will be seen as a year unlike any other. Prepare yourself for a heart-opening, mind-opening year never before seen in history.”
