It is no easy feat to be trapped at home all day long, but I think that a lot of us have slowly acclimated to this new way of life. However, I do wish I had taken better precautions. There are so many things I wish I had on hand — a tie-dye kit, a French press, a hammock and every craft supply known to man. But until I manage to procure those items, I am practicing gratitude for all that I do have. We all are, which is why I now present to you — the items we are extremely grateful to have right now.

Kalorik Air Fryer
Kalorik Air Fryer, $112.99 Macy’s
I have always been a terrible cook. In college, I repeatedly set the fire alarm off because everything I tried to make would burn. However, now that I have an air fryer, I am too powerful for my own good. It is super easy to use, and the chances of you burning something are slim to none. I can’t say enough good things about the air fryer, especially now that I am no longer eating out and filming my audition tape for “Chopped.”
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
My sleep schedule has been completely out of whack ever since I started spending all of my time at home. But research shows that following the same routine every night will help trick your body into falling asleep. I have been tricking my mind by applying Luna to my face every night. The scent calms me down, the retinol helps to improve signs of premature aging and I get to wake up with cherub soft skin. A win-win situation if I ever heard of one.
Yoga Zeal Yoga Mat
Yoga Zeal Moon and Clouds Yoga Mat, $79.00
I used to scoff at the idea of working out at home, but alas, here we are. I am a pretty restless person, so I make sure to get at least 20 minutes of movement each day. I set up a “workout station” in my room that includes my trusty yoga mat, some hand weights and resistance bands. Most days, I do @forward__space’s virtual dance class and @barry’s 20 minute HIIT workout, which are both streamed on IG for free.

Pro Vitamins Vitamin C Bestsellers
I recently watched an IG Live where Sunday Riley talked about how she applies these products, and I couldn’t be more obsessed with the method. She mixes a pump or two of the serum with three or four drops of C.E.O. Glow, warms it between her hands and applies. Using this new trick after I wash my face has been awesome. I love warming them between my hands, and it really makes my skin glow!
Lemon Oreo Thins
Typically, in the afternoon, I get a craving for something sweet. If we were back at the office, I would raid the snack cabinets or grab a La Croix. However, I have now taken to what I call a “foureo” break — I’ll go eat four Lemon Oreo Thins at about 4 pm every day. They are so bright and lemony and crisp and are one of my very favorite parts of the day!
Champion Women’s Performance Yoga Pants
Before the outbreak, I really struggled to find a pair of yoga pants that I liked. I am not a huge fan of tight-fitting yoga pants or yoga leggings. However, in my closet, I found a pair of pants that I stole from my sister at some point and never returned. I have fallen in love with them and you will too! These yoga pants have a wider leg, so I do not feel as constricted. They have quickly become my go-to pants for my morning walks and runs (and also just chilling around the house!) I have two more pairs on the way to me now. That is how much I love them.

TKO Ankle Weights
When the stay-at-home order began, I initially had a difficult time adjusting to at-home workouts. How will I get these gains with no gym? No gym, no problem. I bought a pair of ankle weights and now wonder why I had not bought them sooner. The ankle weights have adjustable straps and come in various colors depending on the weight. They can be used to add a little extra weight to your workouts to give yourself an extra push. Whether you wear them during your intense workouts, morning jog, or daily walk around the neighborhood, you will feel the burn.
Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser
After an hour’s worth of workouts, I cannot go without my Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser. If you are like me and have a tendency to sweat easily, this is your go-to. Not only does it apply on smoothly, but it also strips out the impurities and leaves the skin with a natural glow.
iHome Bluetooth Speaker
Music has always been an essential part of my life. I listen to it all day, every day. What I love about music is there is literally a song for everything. Whether I want to feel pumped up and listen to Megan Thee Stallion, or heartbroken and sob to Sam Smith, there is always the perfect song and artist. My iHome Bluetooth Speaker has been my right-hand man since the day I bought it. It lasts all day and even lights up in varying colors. Sad? Change the color to blue. Angry? Choose fiery red. It is small enough for the park but big enough to give me all the volume needed.

Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit
I lean more high-strung (translation: anxiety-ridden), and working out has always been my way of destressing. So with all my favorite studios closed, I have returned to my old friend: running. I splurged on these sneakers on a whim, and I am so glad I did. They are super comfortable thanks to the higher stack of React foam compared to the previous versions. It honestly feels like I am walking on clouds, which has made the return to running outside that much easier.
WelleCo THE SUPER ELIXIR
The Super Elixir, $80.00
I do not know about you, but I have been snacking 24/7. And while having guacamole and chips for dinner may be my childhood dream, it is probably not the healthiest decision I have made during quarantine. That is where this supplement comes in. With over 40 ingredients made to support your overall health — we are talking immune system, gut health, energy levels, skin health — I can get my daily dose of greens in minutes with this tasty green drink. I mix two scoops of the powder with ice-cold water and add a squeeze of lime juice for taste. Trust me, it is the best way to start the day.
Sunday Riley Auto Correct Eye Cream
If turning 30 taught me anything, it is that a good eye cream is truly a girl’s best friend. Undereye bags, who? Not me. Dark circles? I do not know her either. At least, not when I am using Auto Correct. Bonus, this eye cream doubles as a highlighter in a pinch if you are going for an “I woke like this” look for your next Zoom call. Just dab a pump on the high points of your cheeks and down the bridge of your nose after applying your favorite moisturizer. And voilà! You are good to go.
