Any time a new skincare product is about to launch, there’s buzz in the industry. But rarely do I get as excited as I was for Sunday Riley’s newest B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum — a supercharged serum with 10% niacinamide that boasts some seriously significant results.
I read up about the product pre-release, and was impressed that in just two weeks of clinical trials, 100% of participants showed a reduction in post-acne dark spots and oiliness improvement; in 4 weeks 100% said skin was clearer, and redness was reduced with a 96% improvement in wrinkles; 97% of users also saw a reduction in pore size in 8 weeks. That’s super impressive. So, I had to put it to the test.
But not just me — I brought my sister Tara and best friend Christine along for the ride. Here’s our review.

I live outside of New York City (cold winters!) and have combination skin, plus I’m going through some hormonal things right now that have left me struggling with some breakouts, dullness, and oil production. Fun! Because I am a skincare and beauty writer, I was already familiar with the benefits of vitamin B3 (aka Niacin) but I was eager to try Sunday Riley’s newest formulation that includes brightenyl, trans-resveratrol, and ECGC, too. The messaging behind B3 Nice is that it can help minimize the appearance of pores, improve the look of post-acne dark spots, soothe the appearance of surface redress, and promote overall radiance — who doesn’t want that?
So for a month, consistently, I used the product as directed — applying it in the morning and at night to my face and neck. Each time, it went on smooth and silky thanks to its water base, and felt instantly hydrating — almost soothing!
My results? One month in, I notice my skin looks brighter. I also noticed my breakouts were less and faded more quickly. My dark spots still have a ways to go, and I’m considering laser treatments to help accelerate their fading process. But ultimately, I’m seriously impressed with B3 Nice.

I live in New Jersey and I typically have dry skin that gets especially worse in the cold winter. Needless to say, I was excited to try the new B3 Nice with niacinamide — an ingredient I haven’t used before in my skincare routine. I also was doing really well with my routine, then got married, went on my honeymoon, and fell off the wagon a bit, so using this helped me give my skin some TLC.
I used it twice a day as directed, and now, one month later, I feel like it made my skin look brighter and just feel healthier as opposed to my “normal” dry, even flaky skin. I felt like I didn’t have to slather on as much moisturizer as I usually do, which often left my face feeling slimy and extra shiny (not in a good way). B3 Nice left my skin feeling more hydrated and smooth, and it is definitely one of my go-to products now.

Three years ago I moved from New Jersey to California, and along with all the changes that came with the move, my skincare routine and skin itself changed, too. I had acne as a teenager, which left some dark spots. And because I focus more on SPF and sun protection now, I’ve been noticing sun damage and hyperpigmentation a bit more, too. (Comes with the territory of more sunshine on the west coast!)

A month in, I believe I don’t notice that much of a difference yet in the pores on my face, but the pores on the sides of my nose (which I hate!) do look smaller or shrunken. I also notice that my dark spots from sun damage have faded a bit, and I’m really happy about that. I’m sure if I continue to use it twice a day, each day, I will notice the changes even more. Side note: I love the texture of the product, and the pretty purple packaging, too.
