In a world of extreme minimalism, “coastal grandma,” and farmhouse chic, sometimes a girl just wants to lean into something that feels, well, more regal. Cue regency-era décor, a rising trend that’s perhaps fueled in part by mega-hit Bridgerton. Think: tufted chaises, ornate golden mirrors, extravagant bouquets, and ivory-hued statues decorating the mantel just because.
“To me, the style evokes feelings of decadence and indulgence in all things rich and beautiful, from over-the-top floral arrangements, to formal table settings, to rooms decorated with color and pattern from head to toe,” says Jaqui Seerman.

Jaqui Seerman is an interior designer based in L.A.
The key to making this style work in your own home, though, is to not go too “on set” with it, lest the whole vibe reads cheesy. Instead, it’s all about weaving together modern touches with regency details for a fresh, au currant aesthetic.
“My best tip for keeping regency-inspired décor classy is to keep it timeless,” notes Seerman. “For example, a luxurious mohair sofa paired with a saturated chintz topped with moss fringe.” Or an intricate floral wallpaper as a backdrop to a handsome bookcase and modern light fixtures.

Howard Elliott Talida Mirror
Mirrors of the regency era were anything but minimalist. The gilded frames were often curved and winding (versus square) and were ornately decorated with curls and nature-inspired motifs. This mirror from Howard Elliott channels that 19th-century glamor perfectly. If you want a modern spin on the design, it also comes in splashy hues like neon green, hot pink, and orange.
Laura Ashley Home Natalie Collection Bedding Set
You’ve got to sleep, so why not make it a luxe experience? This seven-piece set from Laura Ashley Home features a muted sage and floral cream pattern that gives “we’ll take our tea in bed this morning” vibes. The set comes with a comforter, two shams, two Euro shams, and two throw pillows — all of which are reversible.
Teresa’s Collections Gold Peacock Statue
The “more is more” philosophy of the regency era is perhaps one of the best characteristics of this décor aesthetic. If you want to display an over-the-top mirror, then go for it, and if you’d like to place a peacock statue on your mantel, then don’t let anyone stop you. This statue stands just over a foot tall and will make your space feel positively queenly.
Royal Albert Old Country Roses Tea Set
Does anything say regent elite more than an entire tea set displayed on your buffet? We argue no. This 15-piece set from Royal Albert has everything you need, including a duet of teacups and saucers, a teapot, tray, and creamer and sugar bowl dishes. Each features an antique-inspired design of red, pink, and yellow roses along with shimmering gold banding.
Amalfi Decor Crystal Beaded Chandelier
Add some refined glamor to your space with this regency-era chandelier. It’s hand-crafted from wrought iron and painted with gold paint for an antique finish. Once turned on, the crystal pendants and beads add the perfect amount of glitz. The small size makes it ideal for bathrooms, bedrooms, or walk-in closets.
Blooming Wall Vintage Fresh Floral Birds Wallpaper
There’s no better way to add instant impact to a room than with a statement wallpaper. This design from Blooming Wall features a colorful motif of florals, birds, and butterflies. If you’re hesitant to apply wallpaper to an entire room or even an accent wall, consider using it to recover your cabinets or to give an old dresser a makeover.
Miulee Velvet Curtains
The weight of a lush pair of curtains goes splendidly with an intricate wallpaper. This set from Miulee feels especially luxe with its grommet top, velvety texture, and extra-long length. These blackout panels come in various colors — including mustard yellow, periwinkle blue, and rich burgundy — and as a bonus, they help quiet a room.
Jennifer Taylor Home Samuel Chaise Lounge
Every regency-era home had at least one chaise. Where else could the inhabitants do their fainting over the town gossip or swooning over their courtships? Wooden legs and deep button tufting make this option from Jennifer Taylor Home the perfect piece of accent furniture. Along with ash rose, it comes in midnight blue, gray, olive green, teal, and ultramarine green.
