Amy Lawrenson is a freelance journalist born in London but currently based in Amsterdam. She studied journalism at Solent University in Southampton, UK, before working at ELLE across the magazine and website for over seven years. Amy was beauty & fitness editor at Women's Health, before launching Byrdie in the UK as editorial director. Nowadays, she writes for various titles and brands on a freelance basis including Byrdie, PopSugar, Kiehl's, and Rituals. Amy won the Johnson & Johnson Best Online Beauty Journalist award three years in a row from 2012-2014, she is also a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer.
