The pandemic may have turned the retail world upside down, but it hasn’t hindered our need for shopping for skincare and beauty items. Whether you’re aiming to stay at home as much as possible or you just prefer to avoid grabbing a mask and scanning the aisles, we have good news: curbside support is more widely available than ever.
Each retailer may be a little different, but the overall process is pretty painless: place your order online (giving you all the time in the world to browse beforehand), and once you receive your pick-up text or email, you go scoop up your goods.
Ready to place a new skincare order? We’ve assembled a curbside guide to picking up all the skincare products you need, along with some recommendations to add to your cart.
Bloomingdales
While we’re certainly ready to peruse the aisles, it’s nice to be able to hand-pick your samples and secure a gift in record time. Whether you’re on mobile or desktop, simply check the “Pick Up At Store” option on the filter panel and Bloomies will have your order ready in two hours or less.
What We’re Adding To Our Cart:
Neiman Marcus
The art of curbside delivery has played a major role in our stay-at-home lives, and we’re pretty thrilled that Neiman Marcus is in the curbside club. While we’re excited to chat with our friends at the beauty counters, we’re also enjoying not having to leave our cars while our skincare comes to us. Just place your order and head over to the store once you receive your confirmation email.
What We’re Adding To Our Cart:
Nordstrom
When you find yourself needing to scratch Nordy’s itch, head to their website, choose “Pick Up” in a category and enter your zip code. After placing your order, you’ll receive an email with your pickup instructions. Tap “I’m at the store” in your Ready for Pickup email (or on Nordstrom’s iOS app) and like magic, your order will be delivered and placed in your car’s trunk! In addition to a seamless curbside pickup experience, they’ll also give you a seven-day window to pick up your order and free gift wrapping on select items.
What We’re Adding To Our Cart:
Saks Fifth Avenue
Perusing the chic, the designer selection at Saks is always indulgent, ‘treat yourself’ experience — and pulling into the parking lot to pick up your luxury goods is no different. When shopping online, look for the ‘Pick It Up’ button on eligible items and enter your zip code to ensure that your location is participating. Keep your eyes peeled for your email notification and don’t forget your valid ID.
What We’re Adding To Our Cart:
Sephora
We’re longing for the days where we can visit our black-aproned beauty gurus and talk samples, but until then, we’ll be supporting our local Sephora through easy in-store pickup. Good news: the experience is just as seamless as a pre-COVID visit. Browse online, select your goods, and select the “Reserve Online, Pick Up In-Store” option. After you receive your email notification, come to the store and pay for your order! Sephora is also offering curbside pickup at select stores — check to see if your location made the list.
What We’re Adding To Our Cart:
Ulta Beauty
We’re all longing for Ulta’s in-store sampling to resume, but we’ll still be shopping via curbside. Add your items and choose “Pickup” before checkout. Once you arrive at the store, click the “I’m here” button in the text/email notification. (Bonus: you still get to select some samples with your order.)
