If you’re not already one of her 520K+ followers, meet Sunday Riley partner Charlotte Siné — a natural beauty, world traveler, and plus-one to the leaderboard-topping Formula 1 racer, Charles Leclerc. The native Monégasque can also be found immersing herself in creative pursuits — from collaborations via her business, Sine Creations, to pursuing a career in architecture.
“I’ve always been passionate [about] architecture and art in general,” she says. “As architects, we are shaping the world of the future and creating new spaces that people will invest [in] with their culture, activities, and [daily lives].” She describes that architects attune to the natural environment before executing their grand designs, hinting at her broader aesthetic — which is refreshingly natural and holistic. “Building the world around us is paying attention to nature and any elements surrounding us,” she continues. “You need to be creative, a bit crazy, but always working in harmony with nature, people, and the news.”
One thing that stands out about Siné is her appreciation of where she comes from. “I love my city,” she says, naming it her dream date night locale with Leclerc. This appreciation for her hometown helps offset the fast-paced — and at times ungrounded — lifestyle of an international athlete’s life.”Going with him to the races is always a pleasure because I’m happy to support [Charles] in his passion,” she says. “It is very important to me to show him that I’m here at any time, and he can feel [at home] with me, away from home.”
Of course, stress, travel, jet lag, and sun exposure — hallmarks of their busy schedules — are all notoriously difficult stressors for the skin. Luckily, Siné has never had problematic skin other than the occasional hormonal breakout. Her beauty regimen emphasizes skincare as opposed to heavy makeup; her self-described beauty preference adheres to the “less is more” philosophy, to use the words of the architect Mies Van der Rohe. “This is actually why I love Sunday Riley products — because I don’t need to wear makeup after applying them,” she says. On days she wants to go a little extra, a nude Dior Beauty lipstick and the occasional highlighter are the only must-have cosmetics in her beauty kit. “I like to remain very discreet during the races, along with how I wear my makeup.”
Siné follows a consistent regimen of Sunday Riley skincare year-round, on race days and beyond. She has done so ever since receiving her favorite-ever facial by Sunday Riley during Milan Fashion Week. “Sunday Riley has been a game-changer for my skin since day one,” Siné says. “I’ve never stopped using the products because [they] immediately gave my skin a glow as I had never experienced before.”
Both her morning and night regimens begin with cleansing. If she needs to remove makeup, she reaches for the Blue Moon Cleansing Balm, calling it “the perfect makeup remover” for how it preserves the skin’s moisture. If she is not wearing makeup, she reaches directly for the Ceramic Slip Cleanser. “The fact that it’s made with clay leaves [my skin soft to the touch],” she says. After cleansing comes her favorite portion of the regimen: the line’s vitamin C products, whose “texture, smell, and especially the composition” she loves. “I’m also addicted to the smell of the products, especially the C.E.O. Glow Face Oil,” she shares.
But if Siné had to pick an all-time favorite, it would be the cult-favorite C.E.O. Vitamin C Brightening Serum, whose brightening THD Ascorbate she uses both morning and night. “Since I started using C.E.O., it [has] made a major difference in how healthy my skin looks,” she says. “I love the serum so much that sometimes I take it with me to work.” At night, she applies it along with another brightener, the lactic acid serum, Good Genes, reporting that she loves how they make her skin look by the morning.
On race days, Siné’s regimen changes only minimally. Her preference for vitamin C supports the use of sun protection — a non-negotiable step in any regimen, but particularly during sun-soaked races. “I always add some sunscreen at the end of my routine. It’s very important, especially when you live in Monaco,” she says. Occasionally, she finds that her skin needs more hydration during races. “I’m addicted to Pink Drink Firming Essence. It’s the best when you need some more hydration on a very warm day during a Grand Prix. I sometimes also use the Blue Moon Cleansing Balm as a face mask when I need some additional hydration after a race.”
With Formula 1 in full swing and a globe-trotting schedule to maintain, Siné is looking forward to supporting her beau. But after the races, they look forward to dining out at restaurants, relaxing with family away from the cameras, traveling over the holiday, and catching up on well-deserved rest. Until then, Siné will be happily anticipating “seeing Charles hit the finish line first.”
